In the summer of 2024, through the “Books Across Borders” education support program, GGF learned about the challenges facing students in the mountainous regions of Tibet, where high altitude and difficult roads limit access to educational resources. To help improve this situation, two GGF members joined volunteers from the Shenzhen Desert Rose Arts Association on a weeklong trip to Cuomei County, located in the Shannan area of Tibet. Together, they supported three schools—Zhegu Primary School, Gudui Township Primary School, and Zhazha Primary & Kindergarten—by donating backpacks, bookshelves, desks, books, and more. GGF also funded the creation of a new library at Gudui Township Primary School. This project gave many students better tools for learning and helped us understand more about their daily struggles. Inspired by this trip, GGF is now co-organizing the 2025 Tibet Education Aid Mission with Nanrenbang Off-Road Club and the Shenzhen Volunteer Federation. This upcoming program will expand our efforts and bring even more resources to students in remote Tibetan communities. Stay tuned for updates and ways to support our 2025 mission!
