The Rhode Island Chinese Dragon Boat Races & Taiwan Day Festival is a cherished annual tradition in Pawtucket. Families and businesses form teams to race dragon boats on the Pawtucket River, while under large tents, the festival features cultural performances, arts & crafts demonstrations, and the always-popular dumpling-eating contest to celebrate Taiwan Day.
In 2024, GGF members were honored to volunteer at the 23rd Rhode Island Chinese Dragon Boat Races & Taiwan Day Festival. Inspired by that experience, they plan to return for the 24th edition in 2025—this time with a GGF booth to raise awareness and fundraise, hoping to share their mission with more people and gather greater support for future donations.
